Talents Unlocked is a music competition for formerly incarcerated individuals, built to discover talent and provide opportunities for people who deserve a second chance.

Season 1 application information

Applications open November 1, 2026.
Application deadline December 30, 2026.
Florida residents only.
Applicants must be 18 years or older.
Applicants must have a history of incarceration.
Categories: Singer, Rapper, Songwriter
Twenty contestants will be selected.
There is NO application fee.

Step 5 of 7 — what we need to see

Your audition video

All applicants must submit an audition video. Three parts, 60 seconds each, sent as one link. Your video should include:

Introduction60 secondsYour name or stage name, the category you are entering, and a brief introduction.
Audition clip60 secondsYour musical performance — sing, rap or perform your song, and show us your originality.
How winning would affect your life60 secondsTell us in your own words what winning this competition would change for you.

Upload the video to YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok or Drive, then paste that one link into step 5 of the application. Please make sure your video can be accessed through the link you provide — a private or expired link means we cannot watch it.

Songwriters must submit an original composition and either perform it themselves or have a performer present it on their behalf. Applicants must have the necessary rights or permissions for submitted material.

Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance or selection as a contestant. Applicants must meet all eligibility requirements and comply with the official competition rules. Selected participants will be required to complete applicable participation agreements, filming releases, and other required documentation before competing.

Your application is reviewed by our team and is kept private. Applicants will not be required to publicly disclose the details of their incarceration as part of their audition — our focus is on talent, potential, dedication, and the ability to grow.
